[It's probably disgusting to the majority of his previous classmates that even half-distracted by thirsty thoughts, Bakugou's reflexes still manage to clothesline the runt that tries to swerve around him. He is hated for good reasons. He likes being hated for those reasons.

Boot-to-the-chin is getting up though, and clotheslined-runt isn't down for good. At least the guy Bakugou jumped on is down, but that still leaves him outnumbered, not that that's ever been a concern. At a glance it looks like Kirishima already trussed up the two dudes who went south, so that means there were five in the alley; Bakugou had missed one in his initial count. Sloppy.]

Aright, [Bakugou growls to himself under his breath, and shakes out his hands. Boot-to-the-chin first. The guy reaches into his jacket and Bakugou heads that right off by charging low and flinging a blast up into the bastard's face. The yakuza sputters and takes a few wild swipes through the smoke; his arm stings briefly but a glance shows it's not serious. The asshole who nicked him is put down with a front kick to the gut. It pays to wear boots that weigh a billion pounds.

Smaller guy gets up and tries to make for the fire escape; Kirishima is closest by now though and you know what? Bakugou's feeling generous. Maybe also he wants to watch Kirishima work, so he stands with a foot on the not-quite-unconscious yakuza and watches, grinning darkly.]

[ kirishima's running as fast as he can, which is why he makes it in time to see the other guy by bakugou running away, and right at him. the guy tries to come to a stop, scuttling on the pavement, but kirishima grins wide and keeps on running, shoulder hardened as he starts to take a linebacker's run instead. ]

You're not going anywhere! [ and promptly tackles the guy, sending him flying to the ground and rolling right back to where he came. he coughs, looking like he's trying to get up despite basically getting hit in the stomach by a mac truck. fine by kirishima - it's easy from there to give him a solid wallop, right to the face, leaving him sprawled unconscious on the ground.

suddenly it's quiet, and as kirishima surveys the area it's obvious the only ones left awake are him and bakugou, the only sound echoing in the alley is that of their own breathing. ]

Nice going, Dynamight. [ kirishima beams at him, giving a thumbs up, ] Looks like we work as well together as ever, huh?

[Does not bother to hide how he's watching Kirishima's chest heave as he catches his breath. Lord-fucking-almighty.]

...I coulda handled these chumps by myself, [Bakugou boasts after a moment, because it's not a 'no' and also it's just the kind of self-assured that Kirishima always delighted in back in school. Manly or whatever, or sometimes he just plain found it funny, because he's a weird motherfucker.

He turns and unhooks some zip ties from his belt to start trussing up the two yakuza at his feet, just in case they snap out of it before the cops get over here to pick them up.] Call it in, I'll go check for stragglers.

[ bakugou is right - it still delights kirishima to hear bakugou's casual confidence, making him laugh again with a sort of bright joy that probably shouldn't have a place in the middle of a serious mission and surrounded by a bunch of dudes they just beat the shit out of. but bakugou was always the one who brought out that kind of excitement out of kirishima the most, and it feels even more special knowing it's still true years later. ]

Yeah, got it. [ kirishima is quick to do so, reporting in with a - ] Warehouse 4-B all clear. Dynamight and Red Riot ready to report back in. [ - and then hangs up before he helps bakugou out with getting these guys tied up so he can go do one last perimeter before they head back.

in the time it takes for bakugou to do that and come back, kirishima manages to take a deep breath and work up a little courage to ask ] Hey, are you doing anything after this?

[A surprisingly easy raid, all things considered, but it helps that the police had decided to enlist a veritable all-star list of Heroes to help to utterly crush the opposition, rather than leaving it to chance. Bakugou didn't get to make a huge impression but he came away with something.

The subject of that something is currently sneaking looks at him like he doesn't realize that Bakugou is paying so much attention to his movement, right now.] Paperwork, shower, food. [Unclasps his right gauntlet and massages at his forearm with a twitch of his eyebrow.]

[ spoiler alert - kirishima doesn't realize bakugou is watching him, or at least, not exactly. they're still on the job after all, so what if bakugou is checking out his work rather than his super thick arms? ]

Oh - Great! [ a chance! he must take it!! ] I was gonna go get some ramen after this, do you wanna come with me?

[Gives his arm one last squeeze to pretend like his heart isn't kicking up a little bit at that. Clasps his gauntlet back on.] I dunno, are we also gonna do our paperwork and shower together? [FLIRTING 101. He's so fuckin' good at this shit.]

Uh. [ kirishima stalls for a second, eyes wide and stupid grin frozen to his face because he didn't expect bakugou to offer all that but... maybe it's a good thing? maybe bakugou is down? he's down. slowly kirishima boots back up; ]

Is there like a locker room shower and stuff back at the base? Cause I don't mind, I mean, it's been a while since we hung out! We can use that time to catch up and stuff. Not to mention since we're both here our paperwork will basically be the same, right?

[THAT FEELS LIKE IT DIDN'T WORK? The freezing and nervous laughter and stuff? What the fuck. He couldn't have possibly done that incorrectly, he totally knows how to flirt. Maybe Kirishima thought he was fucking around?

Maybe...maybe Kirishima was just...offering as a friend? UGH. Why is he so fucking FRIENDLY with everyone, now it's hard to tell. God damn it.] No; I'm going back to my agency to file my shit.

[But- you know what, Bakugou's not a pussy. He's not a coward. If Kirishima's really not interested, he'll get a definite 'hell no' out of him first.] Just text me where you're staying. I'll come get you when I'm done.

[ wait, hold on, he fucked up. or at least kirishima thinks he fucked up, because bakugou is going from joking about showering together to saying he's going back to his agency to do his work and it leaves kirishima feeling at a loss. even with dinner still on the table, something doesn't feel quite right. ]

Wait, no, I mean - yes! That works for me! But - I can come with you if you want? I was just gonna do all my stuff at the station otherwise since the place I'm staying at is kinda small.

[Considers Kirishima for a moment, guardedly. Maybe being a shitty little pissbaby because he's potentially embarrassed himself is not the most reliable way to get a dick. Or...treat his friend, yeah, let's go with that first. Not that Kirishima isn't more than used to it.]

...I'd have to sneak you in, technically. [Because technically anybody who isn't Genius Agency staff and Heroes are not permitted to use the facilities, but you know what? Who gives a shit.] Why, where'd the cops put you up? Some shitty little motel? [Did those mfs cheap out again...]

Nah, it's more like a dorm they have for heroes from out of town? So they got me a studio apartment there. [ but it is small, so maybe a little motel wouldn't have been that much different - the only advantage of this place is it's little two burner stove top and a few pots and pans if he really wanted to just cook for himself. still, he got it for free, so kirishima can't really complain: he's not a big enough hero to make big bucks yet. ] So if you can sneak me in that'd be awesome! Let's head back so we can go, okay?

[ kirishima gives bakugou a friendly slap on the back, because that's what he always does! as bros!! (haha, unless?) ]

[Ugh, the dorm. Cheap-asses. It's not a roach motel, but they couldn't shell out a couple thousand yen to put people in decent hotel suites? Yeah, Bakugou's gonna sneak Kirishima in and get Best Jeanist to forgive him later.]

C'mon. [The trip back to the police station to regroup is a short one, the debrief with the officers takes less than an hour, and Bakugou waits around for Kirishima to finish up with his individual debrief, his motorcycle beneath his arm.] Let's go. [On his knees, thanking his All Might figurine shrine for having borrowed a bike from the agency for this operation because now he gets to drive back to the agency with Kirishima sitting behind him and holding onto his waist. Yes.]

[ and off they go, leaving the goons behind to do the rest - and admittedly - more boring part of their job. debriefs are important though, making sure everyone knows what happened and why, so kirishima tries not to cut corners even though he's vibrating with excitement as he heads out of the station to see-- ]

You brought your motorcycle!? Hell yeah! [ kirishima laughs, delighted, getting onto the motorcycle behind bakugou and wrapping his arms snug around his waist. this is as close as they've been in years, and kirishima has no qualms about taking advantage of it. if he's blushing, he can write it off as the wind, and if he holds onto bakugou a little tighter and presses his chest up against bakugou's back, kirishima can say it's just cause of the tight turns or the speed. if bakugou really has a problem with it, he'll say something but - boy, kirishima hopes he doesn't. ]

[HE'S SO QUICK WITH IT. IS HE JUST MESSING AROUND OR IS HE GONNA LIKE, GRAB BAKUGOU'S THIGH. AUGH.]

-not mine, [Bakugou manages to snarl out, jamming the helmet on his head to hide his ears turning pink at Kirishima's amazing fucking arms around his waist.] It's the Agency's, so don't scratch it. [Bakugou is gonna drive like a bat outta hell though, because that makes Kirishima hold on even tighter. Holy shit his arms go so far around Bakugou's waist. Holy shit, why does it seem like he's so big. Oh no. Bakugou's thirst for men who can snap him in half makes a glorious comeback; now he has to manage not to get hard on the way to the Agency.

It's a very close thing, but he manages.]

Yeah yeah, I'll be careful. [ bakugou should get his own motorcycle though. it'd be hot. he looks great on a motorcycle, with his legs around it and--

--okay, focus, otherwise kirishima's dick is going to embarrass him and then he's definitely not going to be able to have dinner with bakugou out of his own shame.

thankfully, he does not embarrass himself, and they get to best jeanist's agency just fine. kirishima gives bakugou's waist one more squeeze (and oh, it's so perfectly squeezable in his arms, way more than he remembers); ] Thanks, Bakugou! [ before he has to let go and hop off the motorcycle. mentally, kirishima makes a note to see if he can get bakugou to drive them to dinner on it, or even take him back to his apartment on it. that'd be fun. ]

Man, it still looks like I remember! [ he laughs, ] You'll have to lead the way though, I wanna see your desk and stuff!

[His boobs were so pillowy against Bakugou's back. Holy shit. The lusty teenage years have hit late because all Bakugou can think about is get that dick, get him, do not let him leave before you get his ass to fuck you. It's not like I have an office, [Bakugou grumbles, because no matter how much Best Jeanist likes him, he is technically still a newer hero and doesn't get special treatment. Bakugou badges them into his department, leading Kirishima over to a decently sized desk, bordering another one that looks much more decorated, waving a hand as if saying here we are.] There. Fascinating enough for you? [He's just gonna get the police paperwork, pull out a blank Operations packet and start filling out the relevant data, not bothering to sit down in the admittedly very comfortable looking chair.]

[ kirishima only notices the way bakugou seems to be half zoned out because he's staring too, taking in all the differences years of experience have afforded him and all the ways he's still very much the same blasty as the day they met. it's endearing, and man, kirishima hopes something happens today - even if that something is dinner and a promise to meet up again later in the week. would he like more? yeah, a lot more. but kirishima has never had a barometer on bakugou's emotions when it comes to anything romantic, even less on anything sexual, so kirishima isn't counting on himself getting so lucky so fast.

the desk is plain, especially compared to the desk next to it, but it's clean and organized and, ] Yeah, that's your desk alright. [ kirishima laughs, taking the chair bakugou won't as he pulls out his own (crumpled at the corners) paperwork from his backpack and a pen off bakugou's desk to finish it up as fast as possible so they can get some grub. ]

[doing advanced trigonometry in his head to determine how much time should pass before the cringe factor of fucking his high school best friend fades enough to go for it]

Shut the hell up. Once I get the cash I'm opening my own practice; what's the point in getting settled here? [Bakubabe you have been at this agency for years, there is no excuse for this. Signs his annoying report, shoves it into an inter-office manila envelope and walks over to drop it into Best Jeanist's inbox next to his closed office door.] You got a change of clothes with you?

[ LAUGHS ] Yeah yeah, I hear you. [ but kirishima isn't any different - he does also want to start his own place when he has the time with friends...

kirishima wraps up his paperwork quickly, putting it back in his backpack so he can take it back to osaka when this is all said and done. ] Yeah, it'll just take me a minute!

[ without getting up from the chair, kirishima starts by undoing his shoulder pieces and pulling down the sleeves, giving a little sigh of relief. the shoulder pieces get tight after a while, and he rubs out the clear red marks from where they've been sitting around his armpit and next to his pecs before pulling out a tshirt and the change of pants. ]

Wh- Stop. [Grabs Kirishima's wrist! DON'T GO ANY FURTHER. You- fuckin-] There's cameras here, you fucking idiot! Come on. [Holy shit like, Kirishima was rubbing his nips or whatever. Feeling his own self up. Probably doing it for completely normal reasons but Bakugou's lizard brain rattled itself out of its long slumber and is now biting ferociously at the bars of its cage.

Maybe he can rub it out FOR Kirishima SHUT UP

Bakugou grabs onto- well now he doesn't have a sleeve or shoulder pads or something else to grab onto, so he has no choice but to grab onto Kirishima's belt and drag him in the direction of the locker rooms before shoving him inside.] Use the fucking shower too, you reek. Dispensers on the far wall.

[He will. Wait out here. He's not going to risk showering at the same time as Kirishima when he's in this state. He can barely handle that chest now, he'll be dead in a minute if he tries to look at that motherfucker's skin while it's wet.]

Huh? Seriously? [ kirishima's surprised - fatgum's office has cameras too, but not by their desks, so he didn't even think about it.

but he doesn't get to ask more or even think about it, because kirishima is just scrambling to keep ahold of his change of clothes while bakugou is now pulling him towards the locker room - which, wow, kirishima knows he weighs a lot so the fact bakugou can just hoist him up from the chair does Something to his own lizard brain. and not to mention he's got his hand on his belt, dangerously close to his ass. god. kirishima is trying Not to think about it when they're this close, and just prays bakugou doesn't notice him blushing. ] Oi, c'mon, I can walk!

[ oh well. the locker rooms are right there so kirishima can't do much but sigh and put his stuff aside once bakugou isn't holding his pants. ]

You're not gonna join me?

Kirishima, so help me if you don't go get in that FUCKING SHOWER I'm going to kick your ass all the way back to FUCKING OSAKA! [SHOVES Kirishima into the locker room and with some (mild) explosions, too! GET IN THERE!!!!]

damn, he forgot how fun it was to rile bakugou up to the point of explosion. it just isn't the same over the text. ] So mean Blasty!

[ it's fine. he's fine. he goes towards the showers and gets undressed, doing a quick rinse of his body and deciding he'll deal with his hair in the morning since it takes so damn long to dry. he shuts off the water, looks around, and - oh. kirishima pokes his head out of the shower area; ]

Hey Bakugou, where are t-- oh I see them, never mind!

[ and so, kirishima steps out of the shower, ass out, to where the extra towels are kept to start drying off in the locker room before he gets changed into his normal day to day clothes. ]
