This is just the result of my own selfish endeavor. I didn't do a single thing I didn't want to do. [He glances back over his shoulder at Dezel, sobering.] I even left you and Rose behind for it.

[He turns back around.] ...maybe it's wrong, but when you shouted at me in the castle about valuing my life, I was so happy. The others, they didn't try to talk me out of it. I think they knew if I wavered that we'd all fall to malevolence, but you... [He chuckles and rubs at his nose.] You didn't care about that. And it made me happy. I am only human, after all.
