Dezel can tell from voice alone that he isn't lying-- but just in case, while no one is paying attention to them in the shadow of the buildings, he wants to make sure. He touches Sorey's nose so gently, like he'll flinch or pull away at anything, and then draws a bare thumb across the boy's lips.]
